A&Es are in crisis and waiting lists are rising – a Labour Government will increase the NHS budget by £2.5 billion a year, funded by a mansion tax on homes worth over £2 million. This will provide 20,000 more nurses, 8,000 more doctors, 5,000 care workers and 3,000 midwives.
Under the Tories it’s got harder to see a GP – we will guarantee that you will be able to see a GP within 48 hours.
Waits for cancer tests and treatment are increasing – we will guarantee that NHS patients in England will wait no longer than one week for their cancer tests and results by 2020.
The Tories have wasted £3 billion on a top-down reorganisation to increase competition and bring in the private sector – we will repeal the Health and Social Care Act.
The Tories talk about integrating services and shifting care into the community – we will bring together physical health, mental health and social care into a single system of whole-person care.
The Tories talk about giving mental health ‘parity of esteem’ – we will change the NHS Constitution to give people the right to psychological therapies for mental health problems like anxiety and depression.
